2008's game of the year Big Beach Sports is getting a much-deserved sequel in the form of Big Beach Sports 2. The original sold well in Australia, as its inclusion of beach cricket was heavily promoted. Consumers were also drawn in by the game's incredible graphics, running off THQ's patented PublicToilet 3.0 engine.
Big Beach Sports 2 will feature rugby, surfing, canoeing, disk golf, football (soccer), dune buggy races and cricket. As in, non-beach cricket this time, I guess. The Balance Board is supported for surfing, and up to four players can get together for a good time.
It's being developed by Jet Black Games, the team behind Baby Pals, Dancing with the Stars and Neighbourhood Games. Their site also lists Popeye Boxing for the Wii. Wait, what? I hope that one's not a cancelled project! Just as a reminder, here's the first Big Beach Sports.
